Take action

Plan Your Next 90 Days with Purpose, Personality, and Power

March 26, 20256 min read

You don’t need a new year to reset.
You don’t need a new planner to refocus.
And you don’t need a “perfect moment” to start again.

What you do need?
Clarity. Alignment. And a decision to take action.

Whether it’s January, July, or the middle of a messy week—you have the power to reset, realign, and rise.

And this blog is your toolkit to do just that.

Pause. Breathe. Let’s Begin Again.

We’ve all had moments where we throw our hands up and think, “What am I even doing?”

Maybe you feel behind.
Maybe the last quarter didn’t go as planned.
Maybe life just hit you hard.

Here’s your reminder:
You can start again right now.
Not someday. Not next quarter. Right now.

A Message That Hit Me Deep

One Sunday, I heard my pastor say something that changed everything:

👉 “Get off PAUSE and hit the PLAY button.”

That hit hard.

Because like many of you, I sometimes get stuck in planning mode. I think, analyze, strategize—then stay stuck in the details.

But here’s the thing:

🎯 Planning means nothing if you don’t take action.

For me, action is where I come alive. For others, the opposite is true.
We all process and plan differently—and that’s exactly why this system works. Because it’s not one-size-fits-all.

It’s built to flex with your personality, your faith, and your season.

Your Personal Spring Season (Any Time of Year)

Spring may be a physical season—but it’s also a mindset.

It’s a spiritual cue to wake up and move.
To grow.
To reset.

The sun is out. Moods are shifting. Life feels a little lighter.

It’s no coincidence. God designed this rhythm intentionally.
But even if you’re reading this in a different season, the invitation is still the same:

Wake up. Recommit. Move forward.

What to Remember Before You Plan Your Next 90 Days

Before we dive into strategy, there are a few truths I need to speak over you:

Distractions Will Come

You can set beautiful goals and still get sideswiped by life.
Your job isn’t to avoid the storm—it’s to dance in the rain.

Learn to:

  • Pivot with purpose

  • Pause and reframe

  • Respond, not react

  • Be honest with yourself and those around you

And let’s be real—some distractions? You’re allowing them.
Own it. Change it.

Emotion Drives Action

Don’t just plan with your head—plan with your heart.

Too many high performers create clean to-do lists that lack emotional connection.

That’s a problem.

Without emotion, your goals don’t anchor.
Without heart, your strategy fades fast.

💡 You need a plan that connects both sides of your brain. That’s what this 90-day reset is about.

Personality-Based Planning: The DISC Breakdown

Here’s what makes my method different: we plan based on how YOU are wired.

Using the DISC personality framework, you’ll plan in a way that fuels you—not frustrates you.

🔹 D (Dominant)

  • Needs: Fast results, freedom, and clear outcomes

  • Avoid: Over-planning, micromanagement

  • Plan with: Bullet points, bold targets, and room to move

🔸 I (Influential)

  • Needs: Fun, energy, creativity

  • Avoid: Rigid structure

  • Plan with: Colorful tools, accountability partners, and visual vision boards

🟢 S (Steady)

  • Needs: Predictability, support, consistency

  • Avoid: Pressure, chaos

  • Plan with: Step-by-step tasks, routines, and encouragement

🔵 C (Conscientious)

  • Needs: Detail, accuracy, and systems

  • Avoid: Ambiguity, spontaneity

  • Plan with: Checklists, spreadsheets, timelines, and deep reflection

Let’s Build Your Next 90 Days

Here’s the process I walk through with my clients—and now, with you.

Step 1: Dig Out and Become Aware

Before you set goals, take inventory.

Ask yourself:

  • What were my wins?

  • What do I wish I had done differently?

  • What drained me?

  • What lit me up?

  • Where did I grow?

  • Where did I stall?

➡️ Example: Dan, a coaching client, realized his mornings were chaotic—no time to pray, no structure, no peace.
Once he shifted his routine to include stillness and Scripture, his entire day changed.

📌 Awareness is the gateway to growth. Start there.

Step 2: What Weeds Need Pulled?

If you want real growth, you’ve got to get your hands dirty.

Weeds are the habits, commitments, or relationships that choke out your momentum.

Ask:

  • What’s draining my time, energy, or joy?

  • What have I been tolerating that’s costing me my peace?

  • What do I need to say no to—even if it’s good?

➡️ Example: Sarah realized her weekly volunteering was hurting her home life. Once she stepped back, she showed up better everywhere else.

Don’t skip this. Prune what no longer fits.

Step 3: Create a 90-Day Plan That Fires You Up

Now it’s time to plant.

But not just with your brain—with your heart too.

Here’s how to create a plan that sticks:

  1. Write down your goals in each area of your life (faith, family, fitness, finances, fun, etc.)

  2. Write a 90-day future letter to yourself as if it’s already done

  3. Sign it

  4. Read it out loud

  5. Visualize it

  6. Pray over it daily

  7. Place it somewhere you’ll see it often

Your 90-Day Letter: The Tool That Changes Everything

This isn’t just a journaling exercise. It’s a mindset shift that rewires your brain.

When you write your letter from a future perspective, you’re training your brain to believe it’s already true.
It creates alignment, confidence, and clarity.

Example:

June 30, 2025
Dear Sarah,
You did it. Your mornings are peaceful. Your kids are thriving. Your marriage feels light again. You’re working out 3x a week and fueling your body.
The business is growing. You’ve hired well. You’re leading from overflow. You’re laughing again.
You’ve learned to pause, pray, and protect your energy.

I’m proud of you.
Love,
You

You can write yours.
You should write yours.
And you can send it to me if you want—[email protected]

What God Says About Your 90 Days

You don’t have to figure it all out.
You don’t need to control everything.
God has something to say about your next chapter:

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
— Isaiah 43:18–19

God specializes in new beginnings.
You don’t have to wait for a date on the calendar.
He’s ready when you are.

Get Off Pause. Hit Play.

Big goals?
Big dreams?
Still stuck?

It’s time to stop planning and start moving.

Here’s your call to action:

  1. Reflect and clear the clutter

  2. Realign with your personality

  3. Set intentional, emotion-connected goals

  4. Write your letter

  5. Pray and play it forward

And if you want help? I’ve got you.
